History of Mullingar Lions Club

Mullingar Lions Club was Chartered in 1979 with the assistance and sponsorship of the neighbouring Portlaoise Lions Club. Our Charter President was Ronan Sharkey (RIP).

The Club has grown in size to 33 members since then and has taken a significant role in the community life of Mullingar and North Westmeath.

Mullingar Lions continue to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and co-operation.
